Hello! What a great blessing it is to be able to write to the new community in which I have the privilege of serving as the new youth minister. It has been a long and exciting journey for me to get here, and now that I am I can hardly believe it has happened. I am constantly surprised at God’s plan for my life. I grew up in S.E. Alaska (Sitka) and although I lived there many of my childhood years, I have also lived in Idaho, Washington D.C., and different places in the Seattle area. I now call Everett home! I have one younger brother, a large Irish-Catholic extended family, and friends who never cease to amaze me. I enjoy swimming and biking, and am working to complete a triathlon. In May, I will receive my B.A. in Children, Youth and Family Studies. I have had the privilege to serve in youth ministry both as a volunteer and as a staff member, and was very active at St. Louise Parish in Bellevue. I am passionate and enthusiastic and look forward to working with the youth and their families in this parish. I look forward to the retreats, service projects, and weekly youth nights, but most of all I look forward to the laughter and excitement that is youth ministry. Please come introduce yourself! I look forward to meeting each of you! Kelsie Franzel, Youth and Young Adult Minister
